Job summary

ANTS (America's Next Talented Stars) in South San Francisco seeks part-time Youth Multi-Sport Coaches to lead or assist after-school enrichment classes for kids aged 5-10. No prior coaching experience is required as training is provided; the season runs Sep 8 through December 2026, with classes Tue-Thu afternoons.

Time commitment is 6-10 hours per week, typically 2pm-6pm, with a supportive team and opportunities to gain coaching experience in parks and schools across the Bay Area.

Qualifications

• Must pass Federal and state background check and FBI Livescan.
• TB test valid within the last 4 years.
• Availability for Tue-Thu afternoons for the entire season.

Responsibilities

• Lead fun, safe weekly after-school sports enrichment classes for youth ages 5-10.
• Training is provided and orientation is required.
• Arrive on time each program day and assist with setup/cleanup.
• Interact positively with parents, teachers, and school staff.

We seek passionate & committed part-time YouthMulti-Sport Coaches in SouthSanFrancisco!

Make a positive difference in America's youth by coaching youthmulti-sportafter-school programs. No previous coaching experience is required - we train all coaches.

Do you love working with youth, teaching sports and wellness, and helping others improve? As a multi-sportCoach with ANTS (America's Next Talented Stars), you'll lead or assist at 3 weekly sports enrichment classes at after-schoolprograms at one of ourSouthSanFranciscocommunities. Our upcoming season runs fromSeptember 8th - December 2026, and we specifically are looking for Tuesday-Thursday afternoons,(must be available for the entire season). Time commitment is 6-10 hours per week, typically between 2pm-6pm, depending on how many classes you teach.

We provide all necessary training, equipment, and support. Being an ANTS Coach is a great way to learn to coach sports while serving our community. ANTS partner schools & communities are located across Oakland, Alameda,SanLeandro,SanFrancisco, South San Francisco, and Walnut Creek. Classes will run at community parks, tennis courts, and elementary schools. Join our team!

Coach Responsibilities

• Lead a fun & safe weeklysports enrichment classes for kids ages 5-10
• Training is provided!
• Ensure a safe and reliable program by arriving on time each week on your program day for the entire season.
• Attend an orientation training in person
• Interact positively with parents, teachers, and school staff
• Set up before and clean up after your program

Locations

ANTS partner schools & communities are located across SouthSanFrancisco.

Schedule

Classes generally occur between 1:30pm - 4:15 p.m. Tuesday - Thursday each week during the season. You must be available to coach in the afternoon on your program day (at least one day/week). Additional hours may be available through other programs as well.

• Transportation: Coaches must have reliable transportation to their coaching sites. You may be required to bring equipment to & from class, so a vehicle is very helpful.
• Responsible & professional:Arrive on time to each practice and keep accurate attendance. Interact with parents and school staff positively.
• Communication: Have strong communication skills. You will communicate with ANTS, parents, and site staff through email and phone.
• Enthusiastic & fun:ANTS coaches are positive role models for our students. We expect that you share our deep beliefs in the larger themes we are promoting: sportsmanship, wellness, and positivity.
• Patience: Be a patient person who understands young children & their need to develop at their own pace.
• Experience: Experience as a player or coach (at least two years) is highly valuable, though optional.
• Background check:A successful candidate must pass a Federal and state Background Check and/or FBI Fingerprinting (Livescan) and test negative for TB test (within the last 4 years).
