Job summary

Indian Rocks Church in Largo, FL seeks a Youth Pastor/Director to provide leadership, vision, and execution for a comprehensive youth ministry. The role evangelizes, disciples, and equips middle and high school students, building a gospel-centered community and training volunteers.

The position involves coordinating with parents and across ministry teams to help students discover and pursue God’s Design, with Sunday presence required and strong emphasis on teaching and mentoring in a church

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing or completed a College or Seminary degree desired for ministry work.
• Must have verifiable ministry experience working with youth and leading volunteer teams.
• Mandatory Sunday presence; Sunday time off cannot be accommodated.
• Strong Bible teaching and communication skills for middle and high schoolers.
• Experience in kids or youth ministry leadership and volunteer oversight.

Responsibilities

• Lead Wednesday night Youth Ministry services and oversee programming and volunteer teams.
• Teach Bible weekly during Sunday youth ministry with age-appropriate messages.
• Oversee service flow and content for Sunday and Wednesday services in line with ministry vision.
• Organize and prepare youth curriculum aligned with Indian Rocks Church theology and ministry goals.
• Coordinate Scheduling and communications for youth ministry (Planning Center).
• Assist in planning major events, camps, and seasonal programming.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop volunteers; enforce safety procedures and AHCA requirements.
