Job summary

The Youth Ministry Intern position at Muncie Alliance Church exists to support and enhance MAC's student ministry while the intern discerns a call to ministry in a safe and nurturing environment.

The two-year, part-time role (10–12 hours per week) includes $20/hour and activities such as Sunday evenings (5:15–8:15 pm), planning for parent communication, and occasional Jr. High teaching rotations, with incarnational outreach to local students.

• Must pass a background check and adhere to church conduct and safety policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning youth activities and events.
• Support Sunday evenings and parent communication.
• Engage local high school and middle school students through incarnational ministry.
• Occasionally teach or rotate in Jr. High Sunday School on Sundays.

This position exists for the mutual benefit of Muncie Alliance Church (MAC) and the youth intern. MAC receives an individual who can offer their own set of skills, knowledge, interests, and passions to support and enhance our MAC student ministry. In turn, the intern receives the opportunity to learn and practice ministry in a safe and nurturing environment as the intern continues to discern a call to ministry.

Profile of the Youth Ministry Intern

• Possessing a sense of call to ministry and desiring a place to follow and process that calling
• Willing to develop mentoring relationship with a variety of youth
• Ability to help lead discussions and group activities as a part of a team of adult ministry partners
• Must pass a background check and adhere to church conduct and safety policy

The Youth Ministry Intern is a two-year, part time position (10-12 hours per week).

• Hourly pay at a rate of $20/hour
• Planning for Sunday evenings/Parent Communication (1-2 hours)
• Sunday evenings, 5:15 – 8:15 pm (3 hours)
• Occasionally serving on the teaching rotation for the Sunday morning Jr High Sunday School class (approximately 1hr/month)
• Incarnational ministry to local high schools and middle school students (5 hours)
