Job summary

Westminster Theological Seminary seeks a Youth Minister to develop a dynamic leadership team, reach middle and high school students, and equip families for spiritual growth within Living Faith Alliance Church. The role includes pastoral care leadership and participation in preaching rotation and worship.

The Youth Minister will invest in leaders, cast vision for a vibrant student culture, and collaborate with local missions and families to shepherd youth and their communities.

Qualifications

• Youth minister leads a ministry to middle/high school students and partners with families.
• Role includes pastoral care and casting vision for student culture in the church and community.
• Involves preaching/teaching rotation, leadership development, and care for leaders and students.

• Serve on Executive Team and co-lead Leadership Community vision.
• Lead Youth Ministry and cast vision for a student culture that honors parents and missions.

• Lead and empower the youth leadership team; pray for leaders and students.
• Partner with families and oversee Care Team responsibilities.
• Implement Family Ministry values and Milestone Pathway integration.

Job description

The Youth Minister is responsible to seek God for the development of a team of leaders for reaching and equipping middle school and high school students among our congregation and local community, producing a vibrant, equipped post-high school community pursuing all of Jesus for all of life. The Youth minister will also have a significant role in leading Pastoral Care. Pastoral Care is also working to honor the call in 1 Peter 5:1-4 to shepherd the flock entrusted to our care. The goal is to infuse a pastoral care approach to ministry through the entirety of the church.

What will you do?

1. You will pursue Jesus, to know him and love him, and to discern his heart for caring for the next generation and his sheep at Living Faith Alliance Church.
2. Serve on Executive Team
3. Promote and troubleshoot vision and co-lead the Leadership Community
4. Be part of preaching and teaching rotation and worship service leadership
5. Lead Youth Ministry
6. Pray for leaders and students
7. Focus on developing and leading the leaders. Your primary role will be to invest in the team that directly serves the youth.
8. Cast vision for a student culture that experiences the presence of God, authentic relationships, the revelation of God, honors their parents, and lives mission. This will require partnership with the local and global missions teams.
