Job summary

Landmark Christian Church is seeking a dedicated Youth Pastor to lead and grow a vibrant teen ministry in a diverse, mission-focused church community in California.

You will oversee Jr. High to Young Adults, recruit and mentor a volunteer leadership team, and teach Biblical truth to students, while reporting to the Senior Pastor. A heart for teens and families, integrity, energy, and creativity are essential to help students grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

Job Description

Are you called to lead teens in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ? Do you want to join a team who is passionate about creating a church that people love to attend, and reach out to the needs of its community? Do you have a desire to take an already healthy youth ministry to the next level? Then we encourage you to apply for our Youth Ministry position.

The candidate should be a passionate follower of Jesus Christ and have an obvious calling to minister to students. We are looking for someone who has integrity, energy, creativity, and a strong desire to see students and their families grow in their relationship with Jesus. We want our Youth Pastor to share in our mission to Love God, Love People, and Serve Compassionately. Our new Youth Minister will:

• Oversee all aspects of ministry to Jr. High, High School, and Young Adults.
• Recruit, train, and empower the Youth Leadership Team of volunteers.
• Supervise and mentor youth ministry interns.
• Be the primary teacher of the Word to our students.
• Report directly to the Senior Pastor

• Has an exceptional ability to relate to teens and their families.
• Possess excellent skills in leadership, organization, team building, and teaching.
• Has a desire to create engaging content that communicates Biblical truths that young people need to hear and learn.
• A Leader who has a vision for the church and families working together to build faith in the next generation.
• Creative! A person loves to innovate ways to better connect with teens and helps connect them with God and others.
• A desire to help teens discover the value of service
• A recruiter who can attract, disciple, and retain a team of volunteer leaders around you who share your creativity and passion.
• A team player, working with the rest of the staff team to accomplish shared goals and vision.
• Has a degree from a Christian College or University (preferred)
• Has experience working with teens in a church setting.
