Job summary

First Baptist Church (FBC) in Texas is seeking a full-time minister to administer ministry and discipleship among children, youth, and families. This role focuses on equipping parents to be disciple-makers, leading prayer and teaching ministries at youth gatherings, and planning regular activities and outreach events.

The minister will strive to integrate youth into the church body, attend school activities when needed, maintain office hours, and perform other duties as directed by the Senior

Job description

This is a full-time position tasked with:

Providing administration of ministry and discipleship among the children, youth, and families of FBC.

• Responsibilities

  3. Plan and organize regular activities, discipleship trainings, outreach events, etc. related to youth and children.
  4. Intentional in making efforts to integrate youth into church body.
  5. Willing to attend school activities and events of students.
• General Expectations for Ministers of FBC
  1. Live out the Great Commandment to love God with all you are, and love your neighbor as yourself.
  2. Desire to teach and demonstrate the gospel in ministry and personal life as well.
  3. Committed to moral purity and Christ-like character in all situations and all times.
  4. Engage in clear and Christ-honoring communication with the Pastor and Staff,
  5. Become a member of FBC and support the mission statement, beliefs, and goals of FBC.
  6. Engage the community and build relationships through ministry to local individuals and organizations.
  7. Be a self-starter and capable to work on their own.
  8. Make pastoral visits to homes, hospitals, as necessary.
  9. Maintain regular office hours as directed.
  10. Perform other duties as directed by the Senior Pastor.
  11. Spouses of married ministers must be supportive of all aspects of the ministry.
  12. Pass both criminal and financial background checks.
