Job summary

Discovery Ranch South in Cedar City, Utah, is seeking On-Call Mentors to support our residential program. This part-time role requires reliability and crisis skills to maintain safety, structure, and continuity of care for our students. Starting pay is $17.00 per hour.

You will work a minimum of 64 hours per month across day and swing shifts, with training in CPR/First Aid and Aegis within 30 days. Experience with experiential therapy or outdoor activities is a plus, and you will join a team

Qualifications

• Must pass a background check and motor vehicle check.
• Must have a current Utah driver’s license.
• CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days of employment and Aegis training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, structure, and continuity of care in the residential program.
• Step in during critical moments to support clients and staff.
• Support teens on their healing journey through experiential activities and relationship-building.

Part time - Day and Swing Shifts

On Call Mentors play a vital role in maintaining safety, structure, and continuity of care across the residential program. They are trained and can step in during critical moments, ensuring clients and staff receive the support they need. This role requires reliability, strong crisis skills, and a commitment to teamwork and consistency.

LOOKING FOR ON-CALL - Work a minimum of 64 hours per month, 2 swing shifts per week

Starting pay is $17.00 an hour for all mentors.

Help teenage students in a therapeutic setting as they progress on their healing journey. Located near Three Peaks Recreational Park and overlooking Cedar City, Utah, Discovery Ranch South is a relationship-based residential treatment center based in experiential therapy.

Experiential therapy activities include horseback riding, skiing, hiking, and rock climbing. Through these shared experiences, a mentor builds rapport with our students. These relationships are key to the healing process. Often the relationships formed with mentors are the most meaningful to our students and create deep and lasting change.

Qualifications—

• Must be able to pass a background check and motor vehicle check.
• Must have a current Utah driver's license.
• Will need to be CPR/First Aid (within the first 30 days of employment) and Aegis trained.
