Job summary

Discovery Ranch in Mapleton, Utah seeks Youth Mentors to join a residential program for boys aged 13-18. Part-time role with weekend night shifts and opportunities to grow, working within a supportive clinical team using experiential therapies.

You will help students build life skills, document progress, and collaborate with staff to ensure a safe, supportive environment. A bachelor's in a related field is preferred; CPR/First Aid training may be provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass background check.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team.
• Demonstrate flexibility, patience, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to respond effectively and efficiently in crisis situations.
• Passionate about working with young people and helping them reach their full potential.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred but not required.
• Experience working with teenagers or in a related field preferred.
• Must be able to pass motor vehicle record check.
• First Aid & CPR certification (we may provide).

Responsibilities

• Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all students, and respond to emergencies as needed.

Discovery Ranch, a leading residential treatment center for boys aged 13-18 in Utah, is seeking Youth Mentors to join our team. As a Youth Mentor, you will have the opportunity to work with our students, helping them to develop new skills and advance their personal growth. You will be part of a supportive team of experienced professionals who are committed to helping young boys heal mentally, physically, and emotionally. . Discovery Ranch combines the power of traditional and experiential therapies, including equine therapy and horsemanship programs, to create a clinically sophisticated, relationship-based setting that promotes growth and healing.

Responsibilities

Weekends:

Friday 10:45pm - Saturday 9:00am, Saturday 10:45pm- Sunday 9:00am & Sunday 10:45pm- Monday 7:00am
