The Greater Philadelphia YMCA in Hatboro is seeking a childcare professional for the 2026-2027 school year. The role focuses on nurturing young minds, implementing engaging curricula, and partnering with families to support growth and well-being.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement curriculum that is child-centered and developmentally appropriate.
• Conduct weekly child observations and document progress or concerns.
• Maintain daily attendance records, emergency contact binders, and required reports.
• Communicate with parents/guardians about their child’s progress in a timely and confidential manner.
• Ensure learning centers are well stocked and materials are organized by learning center.
• Attend monthly team-planning meetings and participate in fundraising/donor campaigns.

What is needed for this job

• Achievement of a degree from an accredited college or university in an education or human services related field
• 2+ years verified child care experience (2500 hours)
• Passionate about working with children in a fun, diverse environment
• Ability to pass all relevant clearances and keep up to date on trainings

The responsibilities we will trust you with:

• Finding new and engaging ways to help kids learn, while maintaining control of environments that build children’s self esteem
• Implement and plan curriculum for program; ensuring child centered and developmentally appropriate learning experiences throughout classrooms using positive reinforcement for behavioral management
• Conduct and record weekly child observations as well as any related to child behavior concerns or development that may require early intervention with parents/guardians
• Being patient and kind with our parents/guardians, communicating effectively and in a timely manner regarding children’s program experience, progress (written as well as verbal) while maintaining confidentiality and sensitivity
• Accurately maintain daily attendance records, emergency contact binders, and allergy reports, as well as compliant paperwork within timesheets, incident reports, weekly reports, and child observation reports
• Ensure centers are maintained with quality learning materials, organized accordingly in labeled containers associated with appropriate learning center
• Attend team-planning meetings monthly or more as needed
• Actively campaign for the Annual Campaign an work to develop donors and volunteers
