Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit is hiring a Site Administrator for Fraser Public Schools: Disney Elementary. You will lead the daily operation of a Y Learning Center, ensuring safe, high-quality licensed childcare, and supervising staff to support children and families.

The role emphasizes licensing compliance, program quality, and collaboration with school personnel. A strong focus on activity leadership, staff development, and community engagement is required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited college.
• Completed 15 hours of school age child care training.
• Must be 19 years of age and meet state licensing requirements.
• Documentation of DHS clearance prior to starting; CPR/First Aid/AED and Child Safe certifications within 30 days.
• Blood Borne Pathogens, Redwoods and concussion training as required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site Site Administrator during operating hours with day-to-day leadership.
• Ensure compliance with Michigan licensing, YMCA policies, and safety standards.
• Maintain staff-to-child ratios and high program quality.
• Address parent, child and staff concerns with confidentiality and professionalism.
• Coach and supervise site staff; provide daily guidance and feedback.
• Onboard, train, and develop YLC site team; ensure STEM, literacy, PE, SEL integration.
• Maintain licensing documentation, attendance, records, and CACFP where applicable.
• Coordinate with school and community partners; represent YMCA professionally.
