YMCA of San Diego County is seeking a Youth Leader for the ELOP program to supervise participants and implement age-appropriate activities after school. You will collaborate with families, school staff, and partners to support academic achievement and healthy behaviors.

The role requires high energy, patience, and a strong desire to mentor youth, strengthen families, and serve the community. Schedule includes Mon-Thurs 1:30pm-6pm and Fri 1pm-6pm, on-site at partnered schools.

Qualifikationen

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• AA/AS degree or 48 college units or passing proficiency exam acceptable.

Aufgaben

• Actively supervise program participants, ensuring guidance and safety at all times.
• Assist in planning, management, and implementation of age-appropriate activities.
• Communicate professionally with participants, families, school staff, and community partners.
• Collaborate with school personnel and partners to align high-quality academic activities.
• Provide positive behavior guidance supporting developmental and social-emotional needs.
• Ensure program meets school district and YMCA requirements.
• Maintain space to be clean, organized and safe.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies as needed.
• Lead sports, games and curriculum activities; monitor youth behavior.

Ausbildung

High school diploma or GED
