Calderdale Council is recruiting a Practice Manager for the Youth Justice Service in Halifax. The role leads a team of case managers, workers and specialists, supervising practice and implementing intervention programmes with young people and their families.

You will need a relevant vocational qualification in Social Work, Youth and Community, Probation, Teaching 10-18, or a Degree in Youth Justice, and strong organisational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Relevant vocational qualification in Social Work, Youth and Community, Probation, Teaching children aged 10-18 or a Degree in Youth Justice.
• Ability to handle complex and challenging situations and identify and manage risks.
• DBS check required before appointment.

Responsabilités

• Provide supervision to case managers, workers and specialist staff.
• Assist in formulation and implementation of agreed intervention programmes with young people and families.
• Ensure high standard of practice and safeguarding.
