About Us

We are a competitive youth hockey organization dedicated to developing young athletes on and off the ice. Our 10U team (players born in 2015) is seeking a passionate and experienced Ice Hockey Coach or Skills Coach to help elevate our program and support player growth in a positive, disciplined environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead 2–3 on-ice practices per week tailored to 10U development.
• Focus on age-appropriate skill development (skating, puck handling, shooting, positioning).
• Motivate, mentor, and instill sportsmanship in young players.
• Collaborate with the Head Coach and Manager to align on team goals and game strategy.
• Attend weekend games and local tournaments (schedule provided in advance).
• Maintain clear, respectful communication with players and parents.
• Track player progress and adjust drills accordingly.
  
  

Qualifications

• Prior experience coaching or training players at the youth or 10U level.
• Strong understanding of ADM (American Development Model) principles.
• USA Hockey certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Patience, energy, and commitment to long-term development over short-term wins.
• Ability to manage a group of energetic kids while keeping practices fun and productive.
  
  

Preferred

• Playing experience at competitive levels.
• Skills coach or power skating background.
• Availability for weekday evenings and select weekends.
