Job summary

VisionQuest in Tucson, AZ seeks a Medical Assistant to support non-clinical health service delivery for youth, assisting with evaluating, facilitating, and overseeing medical care under supervision, focusing on prevention and timely intervention.

You will coordinate appointments, prepare examination rooms, document medications, and help with health education. Requires high school diploma, 1 year in child welfare, and a valid driver’s license; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of employment experience in the child welfare field.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and accurate medical records.
• Schedule and coordinate medical, dental, and mental health appointments.
• Assist in preparing examination rooms, equipment, and supplies.
• Dispense and document medications per policy.
• Monitor emergencies and report promptly to coordinators.
• Assist in immunizations tracking and health education.
