Job summary

Prince William County Parks & Recreation is seeking a Recreation Specialist to develop, implement, and evaluate engaging youth recreation programs, with a focus on First Tee programming County-wide and at Lake Ridge Park.

You will coordinate schedules, promote activities, and maintain records, while fostering positive relationships with participants, families, coaches, volunteers and community partners to deliver safe and meaningful recreation experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 4 years of related experience in recreation, sports, youth programming, education, coaching, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate recreation programs and services.
• Develop and offer First Tee classes countywide and Lake Ridge Park programming.
• Coordinate schedules, monitor participation, maintain records, promote programs and evaluate effectiveness.
• Ensure programs are safe, inclusive, and engaging for youth, families and community partners.
