Job summary

The YMCA of the Jersey Shore is seeking a Football Program Instructor to support youth development and healthy living. You will deliver sport curriculum with a focus on skill development, sportsmanship, and participation, while upholding core YMCA values.

Responsibilities include leading activities, maintaining rosters, ensuring fair play, and reporting safety issues. The role requires punctuality, strong communication with youth and families, and adherence to staff training and policies.

Qualifications

• Must have prior football playing or coaching experience.
• Ability to communicate clearly with youth and adults.
• Must be at least 17 years old (18+ preferred).
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Be on time for scheduled shifts and adhere to dress code.
• Demonstrate YMCA core values of honesty, respect, responsibility and caring.
• Lead participants through the program curriculum and track attendance.
• Monitor activity to ensure fair participation and safety.
• Interact with participants and parents in a positive, family-friendly manner.
• Follow safety procedures and emergency protocols as needed.
• Document any accidents or incidents and report to supervisor.
