Job summary

The Wakeman Boys & Girls Club is seeking an energetic football coach to join our team in Bridgeport, CT. You will motivate student athletes, teach game strategies, and oversee practice planning, conditioning, and performance development for middle school players (3rd–8th).

This is a part-time, in-person position with a focus on safety and positive youth development. Required certifications include USA Football and CPR & AED.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Holds organizational meetings for team prospects and encourages participation.
• Assesses players' skills and assigns team positions.
• Implements regular practice schedules and coordinates facilities.
• Coaches players on rules, techniques, and game strategies.
• Monitors academics to ensure eligibility requirements are met.
• Attends parent meetings regarding athletic performance.
• Promotes proper conduct and safety; responsible for equipment care.
