Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions is seeking a Security/Protection Officer to enforce safety rules and protect people and property within our Job Corps center in Dayton, OH.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of related experience, and a valid driver’s license. You will patrol facilities, inspect vehicles, assist staff, and prepare reports while ensuring student safety and positive program operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One-year related security experience preferred.
• Experience working with youth or program participants is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of employment with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Enforce all laws, rules and policies of the Safety and Security Department.
• Conduct alarm and patrol duties to protect life and property.
• Investigate incidents and prepare clear, accurate reports.
• Control disturbances and assist staff in de-escalation.
• Provide customer service to visitors, program participants, and staff.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and log results.
• Maintain logs, records and accountability of staff, students, and property.
