Job summary

Pacific Clinics seeks a part-time clinician to provide direct behavioral health services to youth and families. You will link families to community resources, transfer skills to caregivers, and help children connect to appropriate care levels in home and community settings.

This role emphasizes strength-based approaches, collaboration with families, and ongoing documentation to Medi-Cal standards while supporting diverse communities in California.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and one year or more of relevant experience are required.
• Experience delivering direct behavioral support to individuals with mental health, developmental, or behavioral needs.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care, positive behavioral support, and data collection.
• Certification in CPI, PCM, or other crisis intervention models or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct services to youth and families.
• Documents direct billable mental health services aligning with MediCal regulations.
• Builds alignment and relationships with parents, youth and others.
• Uses youth and family strengths to support goals and outcomes.
• Works with teams to support family-driven, strength-based planning.
• Navigates crisis situations with therapeutic opportunities.
• Observes target behaviors, tracks progress, and modifies plans.
• Hypothesizes function and unmet needs to tailor interventions.
• Engages caregiver and family members to support positive behavior changes.
• Works in community settings to implement safety and skill plans.
• Connects families to community resources for ongoing support.
• Develops local resources to serve children and families.
• Meets service and documentation expectations consistently.
• Participates in family finding activities and creates connectedness maps.
• Performs other duties to support department needs.
