Job summary

Harrison Family YMCA is seeking a dynamic leader to supervise and expand after-school care, summer camps and youth programs across YMCA locations in North Carolina. You will recruit and mentor staff, coordinate curriculum and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 3+ years in management, with strong collaboration skills and flexibility to meet early morning, evening, and weekend demands. A valid NC driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent and/or 3+ years of management experience.
• Ability to supervise staff and program development.
• Proven ability to relate to diverse groups and manage scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate and expand school age care programming and youth activities at YMCA locations.
• Hire, train and supervise staff and volunteers; coach performance and motivation.
• Manage income and expenses for areas of responsibility with guidance.
• Ensure safety standards and licensing compliance across programs.
• Build partnerships with schools, parents and community organizations.
