Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. is seeking part-time advocates to serve youth and families across Denver County.

The role offers hourly pay with flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, and opportunities to provide direct advocacy services using a wrap-around, strength-based approach. Responsibilities include initiating and coordinating services for assigned participants and families, developing plans, and collaborating with partners to connect youth with community resources.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources
• Experience working with at-risk youth
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity using an electronic health record system is a plus.
• CPR/First Aid Certification is a plus
• Bilingual English/Spanish speaking is a plus.
• Reliable insured transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance coverage is required.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, organize, plan, develop, and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
• Use a strength-based approach with wrap around model for service plans.
• Coordinate activities and connect youth with community resources and supports.
• Support youth and families in school, home, and community settings.
