Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. in Arvada, CO seeks part-time hourly Advocates to serve youth and families with flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

You will initiate, organize, plan, develop, and implement direct advocacy services using a wraparound model; travel may be required within the community; strong communication and community resource knowledge are essential. Qualifications include high school diploma or GED; experience with at-risk youth; proficiency in MS Office; bilingual

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
• Experience working with at-risk youth.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with an electronic health record system is a plus.
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish speaking) is a plus.
• Reliable insured transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage is required.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, organize, plan, develop, and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
• All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.
