Job Location: YMCA Downtown Branch - Wichita Falls, TX 76301. Position Type: Part Time. Education Level: High School. Salary Range: $10.00 - $13.00 Hourly. Travel Percentage: None. Job Shift: Any. Job Category: Admin - Clerical.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position will supervise and care for children at the in‑house Kids Zone while parents/guardians are using the facility. Provides a quality experience to children and parents focused on YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provide exceptional supervision and care for children while parents use Kid Zone services.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and positive atmosphere for all children, fostering a welcoming environment.
• Communicate openly and effectively with parents, providing updates and addressing concerns.
• Maintain accurate daily attendance records and ensure proper documentation.
• Manage materials and supplies, notifying supervisors of any needs promptly.
• Facilitate the use of playground and activity areas, encouraging active play.
• Uphold order and discipline with a caring and respectful approach.
• Foster positive relationships with all patrons and members, promoting a welcoming atmosphere.
• Complete and submit accident reports accurately and promptly.
• Adapt to work at various locations and adjust schedules to meet the organization’s needs.
• Comply with all association and role‑specific training requirements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors, supporting the YMCA’s mission and goals.

Qualifications

• Must be mentally alert and physically able to care for children from infants through 12 years of age.
