Job summary

Replications, Inc. is seeking an Activity Specialist to design and facilitate engaging enrichment activities in a Bronx after-school setting, aligning with DYCD COMPASS and SONYC requirements.

You will collaborate with the After-School Director and staff to deliver hands-on, age-appropriate lessons that foster creativity, teamwork, and social-emotional growth while maintaining a welcoming, inclusive learning environment for diverse youth.

Qualifications

• Experience designing age-appropriate enrichment activities.
• Ability to translate subject knowledge into youth-centered lessons.
• Experience with after-school settings preferred.
• Knowledge of DYCD COMPASS and SONYC program standards.
• Strong classroom management and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement structured enrichment activities.
• Develop sequenced lesson plans to build skills.
• Deliver hands-on learning aligned with DYCD COMPASS and SONYC.
• Create a safe, inclusive environment that supports exploration.
• Coordinate with Group Leaders and program staff for cohesive programming.
• Support students’ social-emotional growth using positive youth development practices.
• Manage classroom behavior and ensure active participation.
• Modify activities for diverse learning styles and developmental levels.
• Track student participation and maintain materials.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development activities.
• Contribute to a positive program culture.
