You will work with the After-School Director, Group Leaders, and staff to deliver hands‑on lessons that support academic learning and social‑emotional growth. The role emphasizes creating a safe, inclusive environment, aligning with DYCD COMPASS and SONYC requirements, and maintaining documentation and participation records.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• DOE Fingerprinted
• Statewide Central Registry clearance
• Department of Health clearance

Aufgaben

• Design and implement structured enrichment activities within a designated content area.
• Develop sequenced lesson plans that build skills, encourage creativity, and promote student engagement.
• Deliver hands‑on learning experiences aligned with DYCD COMPASS and SONYC program standards.
• Create a safe, inclusive environment that supports student exploration and skill development.
• Coordinate with Group Leaders and program staff to ensure cohesive and well‑aligned programming.
• Support students’ social‑emotional growth using positive youth development practices.
• Manage classroom behavior and ensure active participation from all students.
• Modify activities to address diverse learning styles, abilities, and developmental levels.
• Track student participation, maintain activity materials, and assist with required documentation.
• Attend staff meetings, program planning sessions, and professional development activities.
