Youth English Pastor for a Chinese church in suburban Toledo, Ohio

Qualifications include:

1. Education: Undergraduate/Graduate, M.Div, MATS, Biblical studies
2. Experience: Must be a born-again Christian; experience working with both youth and families
3. Mindset: Have a creative, missional mindset
4. Cultural Understanding: An understanding of Asian-American culture
5. Ministry Style: Must be a people person with strong interpersonal and communication skills; a team player comfortable in a multi-lingual/cultural ethnic church environment
6. Spiritual Gifts: Strong in preaching and teaching, leadership and team building, capable in administration
7. Doctrines: Must be in full agreement with the Christian and Missionary Alliance statement of faith

Job Description:

The Youth English Pastor is to report to the Senior Pastor of the church as the Youth English ministry accountability is to the Senior Pastor.

The Youth English Pastor would be expected to fulfill the following roles:

1. Preaching for the weekly English Service
2. Teaching Sunday School
3. Plan and lead Youth Fellowship once a month
4. Plan and lead quarterly Youth Events
5. Enlist and guide youth to oversee and lead certain church-wide events (i.e. Mother's and Father's Days, etc.)
6. Be available for any pastoral needs (counseling teens, talking with parents) as needed
7. Pursue ordination with the C&MA
