Job summary

Forestdale Inc. is seeking an Education Supervisor for Strong Futures/Youth Services to lead the academic and social development of youth across ages 4-26. The role collaborates with Education Specialists and staff to foster a supportive environment and successful outcomes.

The supervisor will oversee Education/Youth Development Specialists, coordinate assessments, workshops, and college tours, and ensure progress through holistic, family-centered planning within the NY metropolitan area.

Qualifications

• Master of Social Work or equivalent human services graduate degree.
• Willingness to travel to Forest Hills campus 1-2x per week; Brooklyn site homebase.
• Proficiency in Excel and data management.
• At least 3 years of supervisory and relevant experience.
• Understanding and respect for community needs and cultures.
• Ability to maintain healthy boundaries and handle stress.
• Ability to accommodate flexible evenings and weekends.
• Ability to travel in the NYC metro region.

Responsibilities

• Promote a youth development philosophy and framework.
• Supervise Education/Youth Development Specialists and interns.
• Assess and improve educational procedures to boost outcomes.
• Monitor and track educational progress of youth aged 4-26.
• Conduct Education Assessments and facilitate workshops.
• Oversee monthly tutoring billing and college tours.
• Coordinate and oversee activities and family conferences.
• Other duties as assigned.
