Job summary

Muslim Center of Greater Princeton seeks a Youth Director to lead youth programming, organize weekly halaqas for middle and high school students, and coordinate annual retreats. The role involves mentoring teachers, coordinating curricula with admins, and supporting enrichment activities.

The position offers variable hours (full-time or part-time) with compensation commensurate with experience. This role will begin in Q1 2025 in New Jersey.

• Oversee newsletters and flyers; manage marketing for events.
• Provide direct counseling or refer youth to counseling services.
• Support Weekend School and Student enrichment initiatives.

MCGP Youth Director

• Youth Group/Activities & Programs
• Build strong, trust-based relationships with youth through active engagement.
• Organize weekly halaqas and activities for middle school (ages 10-14) and high school students (ages 15-18).
• Facilitate a monthly halaqa for young professionals to address their unique needs and challenges.
• Plan and execute monthly youth programs that are inclusive and engaging.
• Organize an annual retreat in NJ/PA to foster deeper connections and spiritual growth.
• Administrative Duties
• Oversee edits of newsletters and flyers, ensuring professional and consistent communication.
• Manage marketing efforts for MCGP events through digital and print channels.
• Organization of Annual/Bi-Annual Youth Retreat in NJ/PA
• Provide direct counseling for youth and/or ensure proper counseling services are provided/referred.
• Supporting Weekend School
• Serve as member on Education Committee with focus on character building
• Mentor teachers considering youth needs
• Review/improve curriculum with Admin Team and experts
• Work with experts for Professional Development
• Strategize and Support Youth Enrichment and MCGP Athletic Club Endeavors

Compensation is commensurate with experience, and dependent on full-time or part-time.

Timing: Q1 2025
