Job summary

Community Options, Inc. is hiring Full-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP), Caregivers, Direct Care Staff, and Home Health Aides in Derwood, MD to provide person-centered care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

We offer paid training and growth opportunities, with starting pay of $20.00 per hour. No experience is required; successful candidates will complete required background checks and driving eligibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to establish a supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports.
• Ability to stay calm and exercise good judgment in crisis situations.
• Background checks and drug testing required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist with daily routines including cleaning, cooking, feeding, medication administration, and personal hygiene.
• Monitor health and medical needs and report concerns promptly.
• Support development of independent and community skills.
• Participate in community, social, and recreational activities with individuals.
• Transport individuals to medical appointments and activities in the community.
• Complete program documentation and billable records accurately and timely.
• Build a support network with community members, businesses, and families.
• Cooperate with licensing staff during inspections and inquiries.
