Our healthcare client in Bronx, NY, is hiring a Socio-Therapist to develop and implement behavior plans for therapeutic youth. This temp-to-perm opportunity involves fieldwork and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the safety and well-being of youth in foster care. Join our client’s team to make a meaningful impact on at-risk youth while contributing to their development and overall well-being.
Compensation: $25/hour
Location: Bronx, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 35 hours/week
Responsibilities as the Socio-Therapist (BSW):
- Behavior Management: Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior plans for youth, conducting weekly home visits and providing life skills education.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide direct crisis intervention and support for treatment parents and youth as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain up-to-date case records, including progress notes and assessments, and participate in required meetings and conferences.
- Collaboration: Work with interdisciplinary teams and community resources to support the comprehensive service planning for each youth.
- Field Work: Conduct face-to-face visits, attend court, and engage with youth and families to ensure their needs are met.
Qualifications for the Socio-Therapist (BSW):
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field required.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience working with children or youth in a behavioral health, social services, or foster care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to engage with youth, and a commitment to trauma-informed care.
- Other: Valid driver’s license preferred, flexible schedule with some evenings required, and a hybrid schedule available after training.
