Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County is seeking staff for after-school and summer programming to support youth activities and maintain a safe, welcoming environment. You will help with check-in/out, supervision, and delivering positive programming.

The role requires a High school diploma or equivalent, 6 months of youth experience, and ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification. Part-time hours are 2pm–7pm, Monday through Friday during the school year, with full-time summer options.

Qualifications

  • Education and work experience requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.
  • Minimum 6 months experience working with youth.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all organizational health and safety policies at the assigned site.
  • Protect members, staff, equipment, materials, and facilities and follow maintenance protocols.

Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Accountable for adherence to all organizational health and safety policies and implementation of all safety practices and procedures at assigned site
  • Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect members, staff, equipment, materials, and facilities. Abide by facility maintenance protocols and procedures to ensure compliance
  • Accountable for reporting incidents and completing documentation within required timeline
  • Maintain discipline, de-escalate conflict between members and/or others
  • Obtain and renew CPR and First Aid certification by deadline
Facility and Child Safety
  • Accountable for adherence to all organizational health and safety policies and implementation of all safety practices and procedures at assigned site
  • Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect members, staff, equipment, materials, and facilities. Abide by facility maintenance protocols and procedures to ensure compliance
  • Accountable for reporting incidents and completing documentation within required timeline

Administrative Compliance
  • Complete all required reports and administrative duties on time.
  • Collect and manage required data and internal and external reporting. Ensure accuracy of data and reporting. Ensure the effective completion of all assessment and measurement activities of programs
  • Comply with all administrative policies and procedures, processes and controls
  • Accountable for accurate and timely collection and review of membership application
  • Accountable for accurate and timely paperwork, reports, and data entry
  • Accountable for utilizing all BGCGTC communication tools regularly and effectively
Branch Programming
  • Accountable for assigned programming and activities
  • Accountable for quality programming and activities and implementing YPQ techniques
  • Accountable for promoting and maintaining a culture of safety in program area(s)
  • Accountable for assigned special programs and initiatives
Front Desk Operations
  • Accountable for providing excellent customer service
  • Accountable for enforcing all security, safety, and health protocols
  • Accountable for managing front door traffic efficiently and effectively
  • Accountable for ensuring members are checked in/out properly utilizing childcare management systems
Relationships
  • Be a positive role model
  • Maintain emotional control and make good decisions under pressure
  • Represent the Boys & Girls Club in a positive manner
Attendance
  • Regular attendance is required; arrive on time, work required hours/shift, and leave at scheduled time
Nonessential Duties
  • Complete all other duties as assigned
Requirements

Education and work experience requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
  • Minimum 6 months experience working with youth
Qualifications Include
  • Available to work between the hours of 2pm-7pm Monday – Friday during school year; up to 37.5 hours per week during summer Monday - Friday
  • Ability to be a positive role model
  • Ability to establish rapport and build relationships
  • Ability to relate to at-risk youth
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Must be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
  • Must be able to pass any and all required background screens and drug screens at any time
Pay & Benefits
  • Pay: $12.60 per hour
  • Benefits: paid time off
