The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Juvenile Justice Specialist at the Loysville Youth Development Center to supervise and support residents, promote safety, and guide youth toward positive behaviors. The role emphasizes daily guidance, case documentation, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and adherence to strict security and program requirements.

Full-time, rotating shifts with evenings and weekends; starting salary $57,772 plus benefits.

Formación

• Two years of experience in care, custody, or guidance of youths or adults in related programs.
• Alternatively, completion of the Juvenile Justice Specialist Trainee program.
• An associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain safety by supervising residents and preventing harmful behaviors.
• Prevent absconding and protect staff, residents and the community.
• Conduct contraband searches to ensure a secure environment.
• Provide daily guidance on hygiene, meals, recreation and tasks.
• Assist in Master Case Planning System documentation and meetings.
• Apply least restrictive intervention techniques to maintain order.
