Job summary

The University of Georgia seeks a dedicated 4-H and Youth Development program manager in White County to provide educational opportunities for youth, coordinate local activities, and prepare participants for project and judging events.

The position requires night meetings, some weekend work, and travel to district and state events; candidates should have strong communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work with school staff and community partners.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field or Bachelor's for provisional appointment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience delivering youth development programming is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage 4‑H and Youth Development programming in assigned county by delivering educational opportunities in club meetings.
  • Develop a work plan that addresses diverse community needs and equitable access.
  • Collaborate with other staff to plan interdisciplinary programs.
  • Coordinate with schools and community groups to implement programs.
  • Promote extension programming and track impact with Georgia Counts.
  • Recruit and supervise volunteers and coordinate fundraising activities.
