Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Huntington Valley in California is hiring a Youth Development Professional for the Expanded Learning Opportunity Program. The role supports education through Arts, STEM, sports, homework help, and recreational activities for Club kids, with an emphasis on a safe, engaging after-school environment.

This part-time position reports to the Director of Family Support Services, offers Mon-Fri 2 PM–6 PM shifts (about 20 hours weekly), and pays $20.00–$22.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• TB test completed before starting.
• One year of related field experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Bilingual abilities a plus (Spanish).
• ECE units a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, organize, and manage activities and contribute with weekly lesson plans.
• Maintain a safe and educational environment for school-age children (TK – 5th Grade)
• Work with a small team to provide excellent, fun, exciting, and educational recreation activities.
• Organize and maintain Program areas within guidelines set by the Club.
• Signs and posters reflect ongoing programs and are changed when needed.
• Member's achievements in the program area are posted daily and monthly and reflect members' participation.
• Help with Theme Weeks, Spirit Week, Carnivals, and other Club Special Events.

Position: Youth Development Professional – Expanded Learning Opportunity Program

We are looking for positive, energetic individuals who want to help our Club kids with educational programs focused on the Arts, STEM, Sports, homework assistance, and recreational activities.

Reports to: Director of Family Support Services

Available: Immediately

Location: Fountain Valley, CA and Huntington Beach, CA

Hourly Wage: $20.00-22.00,

Shift: Mon–Fri 2PM – 6PM Approximately 20+ hours per week

Job Type: Part-time
