Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Youth Development professional to plan, implement, and supervise activities at Red Shield Youth Centers. You will evaluate programs to support Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character and Citizenship.

You may oversee special programs and events and assist in other unit activities as needed. In absence of the Program Coordinator, you may supervise other Youth Development Professionals to ensure continuity of services at unit/branch locations, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous work in related field with Children and Youth preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clear driving record.
• CDL level license may be required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, supervises members and evaluates activities within a program area.
• Supports the Salvation Army's Youth Centers priorities: Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Good Character and Citizenship.
• Oversees special programs/events (e.g., Keystone, Youth of the Year) as needed; may assist in other unit activities.
• Provides supervision oversight in absence of the Program Coordinator to ensure continuity of services.
• Builds and maintains professional relationships with Centers members and families to advance the mission.
