Job summary

Alpha School is seeking a Youth Development Manager to lead Guides across select campuses, including Greenwich, CT. You will coach multiple Guides, run engaging life skills workshops, and motivate students to reach ambitious learning goals.

This full-time, on-site role emphasizes data-driven coaching, high standards, and helping launch new campuses. Requirements include 5+ years in youth development or related leadership, a relevant bachelor's degree, and legal authorization to work in the

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in youth development, coaching, education, or related leadership role.
• Experience leading and developing teams of five or more people, including hiring and performance-based termination decisions.
• Demonstrated success using data to drive performance improvements.
• Experience working with children ages 5-14 in an educational, coaching, or developmental setting.
• Experience building or launching a new team, program, or campus, with willingness to help open a new campus from zero.
• Willingness to work in a school model that rejects traditional lecture-based pedagogy.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Coaching Guides to consistently deliver exceptional student experiences while maintaining Alpha's high standards.
• Leading engaging life skills workshops that develop communication, leadership, focus, and other real-world skills for K-12 students.
• Motivating students to achieve ambitious learning goals and maximize progress in their self-directed academic programs.
• Using data, observation, and coaching conversations to improve Guide performance and student outcomes.
• Helping launch and establish new Alpha campuses by building a culture centered on excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
