Youth Development Instructor – PA Kids After-School Program

Location: Austin, TX
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:45 PM – 6:00 PM (Required Availability)
Compensation: $16–$18 per hour (based on experience and reliability)

PA Kids is a licensed after-school program serving elementary students in a structured, high-standard environment. We operate as a Texas Rising Stars 3-Star program, committed to excellence in safety, professionalism, and child development.

We are a team-oriented program focused on accountability, consistency, and positive youth development.

Position Overview

The Youth Development Instructor supports daily after-school programming by supervising students, leading structured activities, assisting with homework, and maintaining a safe and organized environment.

This role requires reliability, professionalism, and consistency.

Core Responsibilities
  • Supervise and engage elementary-age students in structured activities
  • Assist with homework support periods
  • Maintain safe classroom ratios and environments
  • Communicate professionally with parents at pickup
  • Utilize Brightwheel for documentation and communication within role scope
  • Follow all licensing and Texas Rising Stars standards
  • Support behavior management in alignment with PA Kids policies
  • Participate in required staff trainings
Non-Negotiable Standards
  • Reliable attendance Monday–Friday, 2:45 PM – 6:00 PM
  • Consistent punctuality
  • Completion of required background checks and compliance training
  • Professional communication with families and staff
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a structured environment
