Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Carson seeks a part-time youth program facilitator to plan, implement, supervise, and evaluate activities across academics, sports, social recreation, and arts. The role focuses on mentorship, sports & fitness, and timely student matriculation.

You will help coordinate and run activities, provide tutoring and attendance tracking, and collaborate with staff to ensure safe, engaging programs for members. A valid driver’s license and required certifications are needed.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED.
Experience working with children.
Must possess CPR and First Aid certifications and TB clearance.
Must be fully vaccinated.
Must have a valid State Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

Prepare Youth for Success: Promote participation, register new members, increase attendance, administer Physical Education for drop-ins, promote healthy lifestyles, supervise sports like soccer, basketball, and more.
Program Development and Implementation: Deliver programs for drop-ins, provide homework help, maintain attendance records, support recruitment and retention, plan events to engage families, collect necessary documentation.
Supervision: Maintain order and safety, keep spaces clean, assist in injury prevention, participate in staff meetings.
Additional Responsibilities: May participate in special programs, may drive club van (Class B license), may assist in other areas, perform other duties as assigned.
RELATIONSHIPS: Communicate with staff, members, and parents; coordinate with external groups to resolve issues.
