Job summary

Alpha seeks a Youth Development Specialist to lead energetic life-skills workshops for K-8 students and coach them to achieve ambitious weekly goals. You will use Coachbot analytics to tailor guidance, moving beyond pure academics to build confidence, resilience, and ownership in learners.

This is a full-time, on-site role at Alpha campuses in multiple locations, including Greenwich, CT. A Bachelor's degree and 3 years of relevant experience are required, with relocation support offered and US

Qualifications

• Willing to work in person at an Alpha campus (multiple US locations).
• At least 3 years of experience working directly with K-8 students through teaching, coaching, tutoring, mentoring, camp leadership, or youth programs.
• Ability to describe a specific example of motivating a student to achieve a difficult goal, including your approach and the outcome.
• Authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Run high-energy, one-hour life skills workshops for K-8 students to build communication, resilience, focus, leadership, and durable skills.
• Coach students individually and in small groups using Coachbot analytics and Alpha motivation systems to help achieve ambitious weekly goals.
• Assess life skill mastery and provide targeted coaching until genuine competence is shown.
• Adapt coaching style across grade levels from kindergarten to eighth grade.
• Analyze weekly student performance data to identify patterns and continually improve outcomes.
