The Board of Miami County Commissioners (Ohio) seeks a responsible individual to operate daily functions at the West Central Juvenile Detention Facility, ensuring safety and compliance with federal, state, ACA, and DYS standards. Youth are provided with medical care, hygiene items, and meals under secure supervision.

The role covers intake, daily supervision of activities, and guidance through the detainment process, with an emphasis on accurate reporting and safeguarding youth and staff.

Qualifikationen

• Must be 21 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background investigation including fingerprint analysis.
• Must complete and maintain training per Ohio Revised Code 5139-37-06.

Aufgaben

• Oversee intake, release and daily observation of youth placed in the facility via court order or arrest.
• Manage daily youth activities including hygiene, education, physical education, recreation and meals.
• Communicate with parents and escort youth to meals and activities.
• Submit reports to internal and external agencies and maintain confidential documentation.
