Inspire Young Performers as a Youth Dance Instructor!

Do you love to dance and express yourself through the arts? Are you passionate about helping young performers grow in confidence and creativity? Join our YMCA team as a Youth Dance Instructor and share your love of movement and performance with the next generation!

As a Youth Dance Instructor, you'll lead fun, engaging classes where kids can explore dance and self-expression in a supportive and inclusive environment. Whether you're teaching ballet, hip-hop, musical or creative movement, you'll help students build skills, confidence, and a love for the arts!

What You'll Do:

  1. Lead Fun & Creative Classes - Teach dance styles like ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and more, or guide students through theater exercises and performances!
  2. Encourage Confidence & Self-Expression - Help young performers develop stage presence, teamwork, and a love for the arts.
  3. Create a Positive & Inclusive Space - Foster an environment where all kids feel welcome and supported, regardless of experience level.
  4. Choreograph & Direct Performances - Prepare students for recitals, showcases, and community events.
  5. Engage with Families & Participants - Keep parents informed, encourage participation, and celebrate student achievements.

What We're Looking For:

  • Passion for Dance, Theater, & Youth Development - Experience in performing arts, choreography, or teaching kids is a plus!
  • Energetic & Inspiring Instructor - Ability to create a fun, structured, and engaging learning environment.
  • Strong Communication & Leadership Skills - Comfortable guiding students of all experience levels and providing encouragement.
  • Experience in Teaching or Performing - Background in dance, acting, or youth arts programming preferred.

Certifications & Requirements:

  • CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification from the American Red Cross, American Heart Association or ASHI (must be obtained within 60 days of hire, no online only certifications accepted).
