Job summary

Overtown Youth Center in Miami seeks a passionate Dance Teacher to inspire K–12 students through ballet, jazz, tap, and hip-hop. You will deliver a diverse curriculum, lead technique-based lessons, and choreograph student pieces for performances.

You'll foster creativity, mentor youth, and collaborate with volunteers while maintaining a safe, inclusive classroom environment and coordinating events and showcases.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in youth programs.
• Experience teaching ballet, jazz, tap, or hip-hop.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willing to work weekends and adjust to program needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide enrichment instruction in dance and technique-based lessons.
• Develop and establish choreography with student input.
• Manage classroom behavior and engage students at all levels.
• Support students on field trips and during activities.
• Mentor students and promote social inclusion.
• Coordinate with volunteers and partners, maintain equipment.
