Job summary

Coleman Health Services in Ohio is seeking a Youth Counselor for Mobile Response & Stabilization Services (MRSS). This role provides crisis intervention and counseling to youth and families in Trumbull County. The MRSS team conducts outreach to youth under 21 and connects them with ongoing supports as needed.

You will travel across the county, work with a multidisciplinary team, and provide brief intervention with follow-up up to six weeks, aiming to reduce trauma and support continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• LPC or LSW licensure required.
• Have/ willing to get NPI and Ohio Medicaid numbers (assistance provided).
• Valid driving record.
• 2 years' experience in the behavioral healthcare field.

Responsibilities

• Dedicated crisis counselor for youth and families in crisis.
• Travel throughout Trumbull County to provide crisis assessment/intervention, safety planning, and follow up care.
• Provide brief intervention along with ongoing assessment and linkage to services and needs up to 6 weeks.
• Collaborate with a team of counselors/social workers, case managers, peer support specialists, and the Director to provide prevention, sustainability, and reduce trauma in youth and their family members.
• Be a member of the newest and most valued service line for youth as we increase awareness and bring hope to the Crisis Continuum of Care in Trumbull County.

YOUTH COUNSELOR - MOBILE RESPONSE & STABILIZATION SERVICES (MRSS)

Coleman Health Services, a nationally recognized not-for-profit provider of Behavioral Health is seeking a social worker and/or counseling individual to provide crisis intervention and counseling services to youth and families in various community settings throughout Trumbull County, Ohio. MRSS Youth Counselors at Coleman work as a part of a cohesive, multi-disciplinary care team to provide the best outcomes for the clients and families we serve. The MRSS Team provides outreach to youth & families under 21 years old to help them resolve a person-defined crisis and link with ongoing support services as needed. We are currently hiring for 2 nd Shift.

• Annual pay range is $55, 000 - $70,000, based on licensure and experience
