This position is for Cabarrus Youth Development Center in Concord (Cabarrus County), North Carolina.
Shift work is required for these positions. Weekend and holiday shifts are required.
Candidates for these positions are eligible to receive a shift premium (10%) when assigned to either 2nd or 3rd shift.

Please note: This is NOT an office position; it involves direct supervision and engagement at a Youth Development or Juvenile Detention Center near court-ordered youth.
Initial salary depends on education and experience, with annual increases through a step pay plan. The salary ranges from $41,558 to $54,078 based on experience. Benefits include paid vacation, sick leave, holidays, retirement, and health insurance.
Full-time, shift work including weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Applicants must meet the Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs), including experience with behavioral and developmental techniques, crisis intervention, and addressing mental health or behavioral goals. Minimum education is a Bachelor's degree plus two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination.
Additional requirements include passing a background check, drug screening, psychological and physical tests, and completing juvenile justice officer training if applicable.
