Job summary

Trinity Equestrian Center in Eau Claire, WI, seeks a dedicated Youth Counselor for a full-time hybrid role. You will provide direct counseling and mentoring to children and adolescents, facilitate individual and group sessions, and support youth development activities in an equine-assisted setting.

You will conduct assessments, develop goal-oriented plans, track progress, and maintain accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in Youth Services and Youth Development, including direct work supporting the emotional and social growth of young people.
• Background in Social Work or related human services fields, demonstrating knowledge of case management, advocacy, and family systems.
• Skills in Working With Children, including building rapport, managing group dynamics, and using age-appropriate interventions.
• Foundational understanding of Psychology, child and adolescent development, and basic counseling techniques.
• Relevant education such as a bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Education, or a related field; advanced training or licensure is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team.
• Comfort working in an outdoor and equine environment; prior experience with equine-assisted programs is an asset but not required.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries, uphold confidentiality, and model trauma-informed and culturally responsive practice.

Role Description

The Youth Counselor is a full-time hybrid role based in Eau Claire, WI, with some flexibility for work-from-home tasks such as documentation and planning. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing direct counseling and mentoring to children and adolescents, facilitating individual and group sessions, and supporting youth development activities in an equine-assisted setting.
