Job summary

Youth Guidance is seeking a Youth Specialist II in Seattle, WA to guide male-identifying students in grades 6–12, using trauma-informed, culturally responsive approaches.

Responsibilities include leading 4–5 weekly BAM groups, providing individual and crisis counseling, case management, and collaboration with school staff to support up to 60 youth across the year. A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited university in social work, counseling, psychology, criminal justice, or related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred with at least one year of youth engagement experience.
  • Minimum of two years of youth engagement experience and supervised group counseling.

Responsibilities

  • Lead 4–5 weekly BAM groups during the school day with engagement and counseling skills.
  • Provide individualized support, including crisis counseling to students as needed.
  • Document interactions and maintain program notes within 24 hours.
  • Collaborate with school administration and Youth Guidance teams to support up to 60 youth.
  • Participate in supervision, training, and fidelity checks for the BAM curriculum.
