Job summary

Jobtailor in Midvale, UT is seeking a compassionate case manager to help youth in foster care find permanent homes. You'll review histories, listen to needs, and coordinate with a broad network of partners to advocate for each youth.

You will work with CASA staff, court personnel, therapists, and community leaders, travel as needed, and cultivate strong relationships while delivering excellent service and support to youth and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field is required.
• 1–3 years of experience in child welfare (CASA, courts, probation, etc.).
• General computer literacy is required.
• MS Office and database experience preferred.
• Ability to travel and work evenings/weekends as needed.
• Strong organization and multi-project management skills.
• Ability to build relationships with diverse populations.
• Willingness to engage in cold calling.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Focus on finding permanent homes for youth in the foster care system
• Learn about the youth on your case load, thoroughly reviewing their history and listening to their needs
• Problem solve, advocate, and find past and current connections for youth
• Build a network of supportive connections to help youth achieve legal permanency
• Work with diverse team and stakeholders, including community leaders, CASA employees, case workers, attorneys, therapists, youth, judges, and more

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in social work or related field
• 1‑3 years of experience working within child welfare, including CASA, courts, probation, department of human services, foster care, group home, day treatment program, or mental health
• General computer literacy required
• Microsoft Office Suite and experience working within database (data mining) (preferred)
• Ability and willingness to travel with flexibility to work evenings and occasional weekends
• Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple projects
• Demonstrated ability to cultivate strong working relationships with diverse populations, including public agency staff
• Willingness to engage in cold calling
• Excellent customer service skills
