The Park Slope Armory YMCA, part of the YMCA of Greater New York, seeks a Youth Coach/Trainer to lead a group of children and teens, promoting skill development and a love of sport. This role emphasizes safety, inclusivity, and teamwork, with coaching sessions on Saturdays and a commitment to YMCA values.

Applicants should have at least two years of coaching experience, a high school diploma, and First Aid/ CPR certification.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of two years of coaching children/teens in a structured setting.
• Experience working with teens in a group setting is preferred.
• Coaching license in the respective sport is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Work with the Supervisor to develop program objectives, goals, and logistics.
• Schedule practices and games during Saturday Night Lights hours.
• Create age-appropriate, progressive practice plans as needed.
• Provide supervision to ensure safety and engagement.
• Modify coaching style to meet participants' needs.
• Emphasize teamwork and sportsmanship over winning.
