Job summary
ARCH - American Prosthetic Components in Green Bay, Wisconsin is offering a Youth Apprentice position in a modern, air-conditioned CNC shop. You will gain hands-on experience in machining, measuring parts, reading basic blueprints, and learning shop safety while supporting daily production under supervision.
Ideal candidates are high school students enrolled in a Youth Apprenticeship program with interest in manufacturing, precision work, and teamwork.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in high school or an approved Youth Apprenticeship program.
- Interest in manufacturing, machining, and skilled trades.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Positive attitude and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Assist machinists with daily production activities.
- Measure parts using calipers, micrometers, and inspection tools.
- Learn to read basic blueprints and technical drawings.
- Observe CNC machine setup and operation.
- Assist with deburring, cleaning, and inspecting finished parts.
- Follow all safety procedures and instructions.
- Learn manufacturing terminology, quality standards, and production practices.
- Participate in training and skill development opportunities.
