Job summary

APC Components in Green Bay, WI is seeking a Youth Apprentice to gain hands-on experience in a CNC machine shop while learning fundamentals of manufacturing and shop operations. Under supervision of experienced machinists, you will develop basic machining skills, operate CNC equipment, read blueprints, and participate in safety training, while contributing to daily production.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in high school or approved Youth Apprenticeship program.
• Interest in manufacturing, machining, and skilled trades.
• Willingness to learn and take direction.
• Good attendance and dependable work habits.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Positive attitude and attention to detail.
• No prior CNC experience required.

Responsibilities

• Learn basic CNC machining and manufacturing processes.
• Assist machinists with daily production activities.
• Load and unload materials and machine components.
• Help measure parts with calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools.
• Read basic blueprints and technical drawings.
• Observe CNC machine setup and operation.
• Assist with deburring, cleaning, and inspecting parts.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Follow safety procedures and instructions.
• Learn manufacturing terminology, quality standards, and production practices.
• Participate in training and skill development opportunities.
